Tamara has done 2 Brazilian Blowouts for me, and I could not be happier with the results. I have extremely curly hair and was hesitant about the treatment and results. Tamara explained the process to me and also took the time to make sure the process is done right and with the best results. My first treatment took out the frizz and smooth, and the second treatment left my hair even smoother! I appreciate Tamara’s knowledge and commitment to doing a great job not only as a reflection of herself but also for her clients. Thanks Tamara!

Bryna is absolutely amazing. She has been doing my Brazilian waxes for the last several months. She always take a good care of her clients. She is kind, provides good conversation, and makes you as comfortable as possible to minimize pain. If you’re a newbie, she is definitely the one for you. She has a way of putting you at ease so it doesn’t feel awkward at all.
I was looking for a new salon to highlight my hair, and I had read so many great reviews for Healing Wizdom! I was really impressed with the amount of time that Rena spent in weaving the color into my hair. And the “mini” haircut she gave me is awesome! My hair moves so nicely and she was right – just trimming a little bit made a huge difference! I’ll be back!
I had never been waxed before scheduling an appointment with Tamara and coming to Healing Wizdom. I was nervous, and totally unsure of what I was getting into because I (of course) had heard and read the horror stories. But as soon as I walked in, I felt so much better.
The energy there is wonderful, and the service is tremendous. I’ve been there on multiple occasions, typically for waxing, and it’s always been incredibly comforting (something I never anticipated saying about getting waxed…!). And even though I’ve been told that it’s not a cure, since getting waxed I’ve had zero ingrown hairs. It has been such a relief! Tamara also cuts hair, so the last time I went I got mine trimmed, and it looks so amazing.
I’ve just left the country to go to school abroad, and because of Tamara I feel like I can put my best foot forward because I don’t have to worry about any of my hair – wanted or unwanted!
I can say this for sure, whenever I make it back stateside I’m scheduling another appointment with her.

I came in for a full body wax. Dana was the one that did the service for me. She went over everything that she was going to do. I’ve gotten a Brazilian done before at European wax center and it wasn’t as relaxing as this experience. The room was cozy, she set down towels instead of white sheets of paper like European did which was way more relaxing and comfortable. I wasn’t nervous at all once she started. The place was very clean and Dana was personable which helped with nerves. The pricing wasn’t through the roof like other places and it’s CUTER! I highly recommend healing wizdom and to see Dana for waxing. Will definitely be back.
Dana gave me the most incredible haircut and color treatment. I can honestly say that my hair has never looked better and been more manageable (naturally curly). Thank you, Dana.
I just have to say that Jorda is the absolute best! I came in for a Brazilian wax and was a bit nervous because waxes in the past havent been the best experience, but she instantly made me feel relaxed and was very knowledgeable and didn’t rush through the service. I came in nervous and walked out happy!
Tamara, hands down, is one of the most compassionate, lovely and knowledgeable hair stylist I know. I have had a bad experience before coming to her, but she was able to do wonders. Not only was she able to fix the color of hair and make it look so natural and beautiful but also align my cut that suited best for my face shape. She taught me how to straighten my side bangs and hair that way it didn’t look frizzy. She also mentioned types of shampoos that would work best for my hair since my hair is very thick and long. She makes sure she is there for her client’s needs and desires. Honestly, I have never received more compliments in my life. I absolutely love my hair!! It is so healthy and soft, and she gave a beautiful shine to it. My friend told me she loved how my stylist did my highlights. It’s so blended in and doesn’t look obnoxious…like it’s naturally done! Also, the staff is absolutely caring. They make you feel so welcomed and like you’re at home. Thank you so so much for an amazing first time experience. You guys are all so kind hearted and wonderful. Tamara, no doubt, you have blessed hands and an incredibly huge heart. Thank you for listening and doing an excellent job. I can’t wait to see you again.
While on a business trip recently, I had an overnight stay in Reno and I was hoping to get my hair done that day. I live in a small town that doesn’t have a decent salon, so I tend to get my hair done while traveling. It was getting later in the evening on a Sunday and I still hadn’t found an opening. I called Healing Wizdom and was happy to hear that they had a late cancellation and could get me in, and with the owner no less! Once I got there I was pleasantly greated and given chocolates and some delicious tea. I toured their cute gift shop as I waited for my appointment. Once it was my turn I met Tamara and immediately felt at home. I hate going to salons and having the hair stylist ask me tons of questions, but with Tamara conversation came easily. After awhile I started to notice the salon getting quieter and realized that everyone had gone home for the night. I looked at the clock and realized it was getting late and apologized to Tamara for keeping her. She explained that she typically arrived to work in the late morning which enabled her to stay later when her customers needed her. I loved this about the salon, it was so personable. You don’t get this kind of service from big franchise salons! Tamara finished my hair at almost 9:30pm on a Sunday yet when I went to call a cab she even offered to drive me back to the hotel I was staying at, which was a short distance away. I am so pleased that there were no other salons open that day and I will be a customer here forever! Thank you Tamara and team. You guys are great!!
