While on a business trip recently, I had an overnight stay in Reno and I was hoping to get my hair done that day. I live in a small town that doesn’t have a decent salon, so I tend to get my hair done while traveling. It was getting later in the evening on a Sunday and I still hadn’t found an opening. I called Healing Wizdom and was happy to hear that they had a late cancellation and could get me in, and with the owner no less! Once I got there I was pleasantly greated and given chocolates and some delicious tea. I toured their cute gift shop as I waited for my appointment. Once it was my turn I met Tamara and immediately felt at home. I hate going to salons and having the hair stylist ask me tons of questions, but with Tamara conversation came easily. After awhile I started to notice the salon getting quieter and realized that everyone had gone home for the night. I looked at the clock and realized it was getting late and apologized to Tamara for keeping her. She explained that she typically arrived to work in the late morning which enabled her to stay later when her customers needed her. I loved this about the salon, it was so personable. You don’t get this kind of service from big franchise salons! Tamara finished my hair at almost 9:30pm on a Sunday yet when I went to call a cab she even offered to drive me back to the hotel I was staying at, which was a short distance away. I am so pleased that there were no other salons open that day and I will be a customer here forever! Thank you Tamara and team. You guys are great!!

Barbara! Barbara! Barbara! I just absolutely love her. She has magic fingers and is wonderful and listening to my wants and needs. I came in for a facial and massage and she was the greatest! I will recommend her always!
I just got a Brazilian from Tamara and it was amazing. It was virtually painless and actually relaxing. The location is very convenient and the decor is peaceful and calming. The cup of tea is a very nice touch as well. I have been to a lot of places in Reno, and this place is my new place. Thanks for a great experience!
Just walked out of healing wizdom and didn\’t want to wait any longer to tell the world just how amazing my first experience was. I got a Brazilian done by Nancy and she was amazing. I walked in expecting to be tortured and it was the complete opposite experience. She is amazing, and the whole staff is very friendly. I will definitely be going back! Highly recommend healing wizdom.
Nancy is the only person who I will let touch my eyebrows! After going person to person for years, Nancy is the only one who keeps me coming back. She does a superb job!
Nancy is ABSOLUTELY amazing. She did my first Brazilian ever and was just incredible. She made the experience totally comfortable and relaxing (yes! A Brazilian wax relaxing!) and now has me as a forever client. She is also now a dear friend and encourager! Definitely see Nancy! You won\’t regret it!

I have nothing but good things to say about all of my experiences at Healing Wizdom. Today I want to say how much I love what Stacia does with my hair. Best color ever and a fun haircut that suits my age! It is always worrisome trying a new stylist, but Stacia is great!
