My daughter and I stayed in Reno during our ski-visit to Tahoe area. For the long time I have not been happy with the way my stylist in Bay Area styled my hair and I complain to my friend who lives in Reno. She highly recommended Healing Wizdom Salon and on her advise I decided to give them a try. I called Healing Wizdom and was happy to hear that both of us can get our hair done by the owner of business, Tamara!
I was impressed how Tamara listen to our needs and advised both of us on totally new look. My hair is very fine and thin. Tamara made my brown colored hair much softer and gave it more natural looking. I was impressed with her deep point texturizing technique that gave my hair much more play and interest. She also gave me a few tips on how to style it to make my face look flatter and recommended products that I can use for easy management
My daughter's thick wavy hair Tamara reshaped and colored to accent her face. That gave her a very easy to style natural sun kissed look that would not need much up keep at all for a busy graduate student!
And to top off this extraordinarily pleasant experience we were thrilled to learn that the end price was so much better than what we were used to paying!
Highly recommend Healing Wizdom Salon. On my next ski trip to Reno, I will definitely visit Healing Wizdom salon again.

I just had the most amazing and fabulous facial at Healing Wizdom from Bryna. Really ,she made me look better. It's incredible how a relaxed face improves your appearance. I usually sit to have a facial but Bryna has you lying on your back so she has access to your neck and shoulders. She is just the best at getting your head to relax---tension, headaches gone. I want to go back!

I came to Carson City two days ago. While I went to Reno to do some stuff I found this salon online. I went to this salon for facial waxing and eyebrow. The girl at reception is really nice to customers. While I was waiting she offered me a great blend of herbal tea. The lady (Brya) who did my face and eyebrow did a great job. She used soothig lotions and damp hot towels on my face. I highly recommend it

Today was simply INCREDIBLE!!! I called Healing Wisdom panicking, since my stylist canceled on me last minute and my roots were simply unbearable! A very compassionate woman, who I later discovered was the receptionist, patiently listened to what I needed done and she was so sweet, professional and took my information and said, "Please let me see what I can do..and keep your phone by you!" The receptionist called me back within 20 minutes and told me the owner would come in at 4:30 (on her day off) to do a partial weave!!! Jackpot! Tamara, thank you for your expertise and time today! My hair is now healthy and radiant!! To the most accommodating receptionist, thank you for going out of your way to get me a same day appointment!
So in essence, Healing Wisdom was an OVER THE TOP experience that provided professionalism, diligence, compassion and frankly, I haven't experienced this type of service in Reno- ever! Oh, and did I mention they're now located RIGHT OFF THE FREEWAY?! Super easy to get to with ample parking.

I love having my hair cut here. My hair is naturally flat and lifeless, but after a skilled cut, it looks good for months. Tamara is very talented...and the shoulder massage after the haircut is heavenly.
Healing Wisdom is truly a unique salon and spa. I have been going to the spa for over three years to get bikini and eyebrow wax along with amazing facials. I would not dream of going anywhere else. The prices are more than reasonable for the kind of service and treatment you receive. After every wax I get a little mini massage and I am offered healing tea at the end of every service. I walk away feeling good and new. I am confident you would not get this treatment at any other spa. If you are looking to feel special and beautiful this is the place to go. I have been going to Tamara for a few years now and she is wonderful. Not only is she the worlds best waxer but she is also fabulous with cuts and colors. She stays up on the trends and knows what looks good on people. She makes it her goal to be the best at what she does and enjoys teaching others. Tamara has a great spirit and energy about her that makes your visit more then just your average trip to the spa or salon. I always leave feeling better then when I arrived. There is a great energy there. Great place! Great people! I highly recommend anyone give Healing Wizdom and Creative Colours a try.
I absolutely love Healing Wizdom and Creative Colours! I’ve been a client of Tamara’s since she opened Healing Wizdom and now several of my family members and friends go there too. I was thrilled when she opened the Creative Colours Salon. She is a fabulous stylist and I am always very happy with my cut and color. Everyone at the Spa and Salon are very friendly, professional and helpful. If Tamara isn’t availble, I am more than happy to see one of her associates. They are excellent! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either business to anyone who is looking for a little pampering and relaxation.

My experience with Healing Wizdom was perfect. Leslie gave a wonderful therapeutic massage that left me feeling relaxed and peaceful. She asked about the type of massage I liked (deep tissue, etc.) and then proceeded to massage with just the right amount of pressure. There wasn’t a lot of small talk, so I could just lay there and experience my muscles relaxing and tension melting away. I would highly recommend this spa.
I moved to Reno 3 years ago and have been through several stylists looking for just the right match. I met Shirley Love at Creative Colours through a promotion she was doing with houseseats.com that offered a first hair cut at no charge. I was so happy with that cut I’ve continued to see her for my subsequent hair care. She’s a great person who is more than willing to listen to what I want, make suggestions for things I might not have considered, then give me a great haircut that keeps me coming back again and again. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a new stylist.
My daughter and I have been looking for someone who was honest about our hair and the style for us. This is harder than you think! After our visit to Creative Colours I feel that I would send anyone there for a honest assessment (the stylist talked my daughter out of cutting 14 inches off her hair) and an incredible cut. The other services offered here are second to none and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff is nothing short of AMAZING!
